The INSANE Prime of Tim Lincecum: The Freak
Tim Lincecum, AKA “The Freak,” is an instantly recognizable baseball icon who was the league’s most dominant pitcher for two consecutive years. His funky mechanics and flexibility fueled an explosive pitching delivery. In his arsenal, Lincecum possessed a turbocharged fastball that, for a man his size, baffled players and spectators alike. Tim also utilized several devastating offspeed and breaking pitches in his repertoire. His charming but authentic persona made rooting for him an easy task. Hardware, championships, and multiple historic performances defined his Hall of Fame peak that was accompanied by injuries. Big Time Timmy Jim achieved more than many players currently occupying Coo...

1406 Not even close to Ricky Henderson.
He was a sight to see. Def my fav player.
As a Cubs fan, it was a love-hate relationship with Clemente. I loved watching him play, but hated how he always beat up on Cubs pitching. Best right fielder I have ever seen. One of the best all around players, ever.
Love your channel 🫴🏽 SUBSCRIBED ⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾
Thank you! Welcome to the team! 😎
148 pitches in a game and u wonder y he retired young! Bet?
Haha he was already falling apart before this
One game of throwing 148 pitches isn't going to prematurely end a pitcher's career. Consideration for pitch count only became a thing in the 80s or 90s. Nolan Ryan's career spanned 4 decades and he threw 222 complete games.
Wow that's awesome ⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾
Local padre fan , he was so good I would get him in fantasy baseball
Imagine having him on your team for both of those no-hitters 🤯
I'm sure his mother not only prayed for him to "find fulfillment in life", but also to "find fulfillment in God", which is the ultimate fulfillment in life. Poor or rich.
Just subbed. Great at stuff. We gotta get a Yadier Molina one, Cam!!!
I appreciate it, welcome to the team! And you're right, Yadi would be a great one
Growing up as a Yankees fan in Houston, Jeff Bagwell and Craig Biggio were always me and my mother's favorite Astros players. I used to mimic batter's stances and have my mom guess who they were, and we'd always have a laugh while doing Jeff's stance lol
First of all... GREAT video! Secondly, JR was awesome, he made baseball look FUN and he was amazing to watch no matter what team you like. In my opinion, he should've been considered for seriously for more MVP awards and is the absolute best player I've ever seen in nearly 50 years of watching
Thank you, I appreciate that! The era he played was brutal MVP competition but it feels like he should have more than one 🤯
@@Cam23 Let's not forget that he was a CLEAN player playing in the "steroid era". Some of the players that were steroid users were doing equal to or better than him in the MVP race. Him being natural should've given him an advantage over the others like McGwire, Sosa, Bonds, Palmiero and Clemens. He's the Drew Brees of baseball... Another player that was cheated out of the MVP
@@mikec6678 You're right, I agree. I wasn't suggesting he never deserved a second. In the minds of voters back then it wasn't something they had proof or knowledge of which is why I said that
@@Cam23 Don't take what I said wrong. I was agreeing with you, using 2 examples of why JR should've won more than 1 MVP. He had the numbers even when he was passed what would be considered most players prime. That's the difference with JR. Even in his last few years, he STILL looked like he was in his prime. You still saw the teenager that graced the diamond and crushed the outfield in the late 80's. His injuries and age caught up with him. He was still feared in the outfield, you never knew when he was gonna make a big play or rob someone of a HR, and he was still feared at the plate.
@@mikec6678 Ah gotcha. Thanks for bearing with me, I was trying to figure out if I was understanding you right haha. I'm good now! I'd say if there were revotes he'd be walking away with a LOT more hardware 🏆
Edgar Martinez
Today is my first day asking for one of my all time favorite Edgar Martinez will ask on every upload till you do thank you love your videos helped me get back into the MLB after nearly 2 decades
Amazing player. Injuries took away some of his stats. Mike Trout is on his way to the same career.
He got screwed over for mvp
You weren’t wrong at all 😂
Thanks!
Thank you!
Great video!! He should absolutely be in the HOF.
Never a sweater swing than the strawman.
Yet none are in the HoF
He used a telephone pole for a bat. If you try to swing a telephone pole, you'll see why he was one of a kind.
That’s impressive!⚾️
Dammit put Tim in the HOF! He definitely deserves it!!! Not to mention he’s one of the coolest guys to ever play the game!
